π Comprehensive Note
Free fall is the motion of a body when it is moving under the influence of gravity alone, without any air resistance or other forces acting on it.
In free fall, the only force acting on the body is the gravitational force. This causes the body to accelerate uniformly toward the Earth.
The acceleration of a freely falling body is constant and equal to g β 9.8 m/sΒ² near the Earthβs surface. The mass of the object does not affect its rate of fall.
- Only gravity acts
- No air resistance
- Acceleration is constant
- Mass does not affect motion
π€ Lyrics
Verse 1
A stone dropped freely from a height,
No air resistance in the sight.
Only gravity pulls it down,
No other force is acting around.
Chorus
Free fall is the motion of a body
under the influence of gravity only, uh uh yea....
with no resistance from air or
any other force.hmmm hmmmm hmmm
Verse 2
Acceleration stays constant in fall,
Equal to g for one and all.
Mass does not affect the rate,
In free fall motion, this is fate.
Chorus
Free fall is the motion of a body
under the influence of gravity only, uh uh yea....
with no resistance from air or
any other force.hmmm hmmmm hmmm

π Line-by-Line Study Guide
| Lyric Line | Explanation |
|---|---|
| A stone dropped freely from a height | The object starts falling due to gravity. |
| No air resistance in the sight | Air resistance is ignored. |
| Only gravity pulls it down | Gravity is the only acting force. |
| Acceleration stays constant in fall | Velocity increases uniformly. |
| Equal to g for one and all | Acceleration equals gravitational acceleration. |
| Mass does not affect the rate | All objects fall at the same rate. |
π§ Mnemonic

π Summary
- Free fall is motion under gravity alone.
- No air resistance or other forces act.
- Acceleration remains constant and equals g.
- Mass does not affect the rate of fall.
- All freely falling bodies behave the same way.
